Daily Learning: 30 April 2020

Once again, today was a low-consumption day. I slept in and spent most of the day either with my wife or cooking. I listened to some music and one song stuck out to me: “Be Here Now” by Ray LaMontagne. In it, he sings about relationships, walls, trust, etcetera.

Walls

This is an all-around good song, but one line sticks out to me:

Don’t put your trust in walls
Cause walls will only crush you when they fall.

Evryman, a B Corp that works on men’s mental health, has a simple rule called Relax, Open, Connect (ROC) that guides its programming. This song reminds me of Evryman’s rule and the importance of not building barriers between us.

Note: April’s over and I’m writing the summary post for my April 2020 experiment. Go ahead and read or review the April 2020 Launch Post before the summary comes out.
