Today was another low-consumption day. I spent the day working on a freelance project in content SEO, writing, cooking, and spending time with my wife.
Content SEO
I don’t recall the exact source, but I once heard someone say, “Content is King.” For anyone who doesn’t sell products or services, their written and video content is probably the most influential aspect of their website. When it comes to Search Engine Optimization, you can do everything else right, but if your content isn’t relevant or just low-quality, your users will bounce. A Yoast article on content SEO provides a simple definition.
“Content SEO refers to creating content that helps your web pages to rank high in the search engines. It includes everything to do with the writing and structuring of content on your website. There are three major elements you need to consider to produce content that will make your website rank well: keyword strategy, site structure, and copywriting.”
Marieke van de Rakt, CEO of Yoast. (emphasis added)
There are many ways to optimize your website, but creating good content is the foundation sites should be built upon.
