Time with Company: March 2024 – Present

Position: Territory Sales Manager (NC/VA)

  • Sales Manager for 13 Lowe’s Hardware stores and 3 Home Depot stores with gross annual POS of approximate $10.5 million.
  • 16 Accounts across Central NC and Southern VA including Winston-Salem, Kernersville, High Point, Asheboro, Lexington, Mount Airy, Wilkesboro, Elkin, Mocksville, Galax, and Wytheville.
  • Hired and managed a team of 5-7 seasonal employees, including scheduling to budget, teaching safe working practices and completing annual safety reports, approving time cards, monitoring training progress, and developing high-performing employees.
  • Promoted holiday and seasonal events including setting events in stores, printing and hanging promotional materials, and coordinating with accounts for maintenance of event spaces.
  • Tracked sales performance and curated weekly and event reports for accounts and my superiors.
  • Communicated and worked with diverse audiences including my direct reports, account KDMs like store and district managers, and store associates.
  • Familiar with Lowe’s and Home Depot internal systems including inventory control and receiving systems, order tracking systems, overstock management systems, sales systems, and Planogram (POG) systems.

Position: Customer Experience Manager (Winston-Salem, NC)

  • Manager on Duty for a big-box retail store generating $38M/year in revenue with a team of approximately 130 employees.
  • Ensuring adherence to store safety and cleanliness standards by completing daily departmental safety checklists and directing labor to address critical safety issues.
  • Driving customer service and employee engagement by resolving escalated customer issues, coaching employees on opportunities, and recognizing successes.
  • Managing a variety of operational processes directly affecting P&L, including General Liability claims, Workers’ Comp claims, return-to-vendor/RGA, clearance, receiving Bill of Lading (BOLs), customer purchase orders (POs), and more.
  • Assisting with payroll and scheduling on a day-to-day basis including managing overtime, addressing timecard issues, taking call-outs, and shifting labor to meet day-to-day demands of the business.
  • Operator and in-store trainer for all lift equipment, including sit-down forklift, stand-up forklift or pacer unit, reach truck, order picker, electric pallet jack, portable loading dock, and electric ladder.

July 2022 to November 2022

Position: Merchandising Department Supervisor in Seasonal/Garden, Electrical, and Plumbing (Winston-Salem, NC)

  • Supervised 3 merchandising departments in a low-volume suburban store. Responsible for approximately $13M/year total revenue and approximately 20 direct reports.
  • Provided excellent customer service directly when assisting customers and resolving escalated issues.
  • Trained employees, ensuring online training and on-hand training completion.
  • Assisted with scheduling, including managing overtime in my departments.
  • Coordinated work closely with 4 major vendor teams and several minor vendor teams.
  • Managed operational processes around inventory control and compliance, including overstock, clearance, hazardous materials, and vendor buybacks.
  • Worked with teams around the store, especially the Customer Service department, Receiving department, and other merchandising departments.
  • Licensed to operate several pieces of warehouse machinery: sit-down forklift, stand-up forklift (pacer), order picker, and reach truck.

October 2021 to July 2022

Position: Merchandising Department Supervisor in Seasonal/Garden (Philadelphia, PA)

  • Supervised a $12M/year garden department in a high-volume, urban store.
  • Managed a diverse crew of (max) 29 direct reports/employees.

February 2021 to October 2021

Position: Sales Specialist in Flooring & Decor (Philadelphia, PA)

  • Ranked in the top 20% of district flooring sales specialists based on sales for H1 2021.
  • Closed approximately $172,000 in sales in H1 2021 after only 5 months in the position.
  • Managed a sales pipeline of approximately 50 customers receiving installation services plus dozens of day-to-day product sales for DIY and Pro customers.
  • Assisted customers with the entirety of the sales and fulfillment cycle, including lead generation, sales, product delivery, installation service, warranty claims, and issue resolution.

Position: Sales Associate in Flooring & Decor (Philadelphia, PA)

  • Learned the essential functions for success in the Flooring & Décor department, such as using machinery like the carpet cutter and blinds cutter, using store software to submit leads for installations, gaining product knowledge, and honing customer service skills.

Position: Freelance Content SEO

  • Provided freelance services to clients on UpWork.com, including
    • Optimize WordPress content for SEO and Readability in alignment with Yoast SEO Standards. Set up Google My Business profile to improve Local SEO for small businesses.
    • Perform data entry in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheet.
    • Make PivotTables, Charts, and PivotCharts in Microsoft Excel.

Swarthmore College Peace Collection

June 2019 to December 2019
Position: Student Assistant

  • Organized personal and organizational materials donated to the archive.
  • Prepared materials for archival use, including transferring documents into archival folders and boxes, moving photos, negatives, and slides into archival sleeves, and digitizing audio and audiovisual materials.
  • Uploaded new materials onto the ArchivesSpace platform and completed the materials’ records with relevant information.
  • Converted HTML webpages of archival materials into XML files and uploaded files to the ArchivesSpace platform.

Frank Aydelotte Foundation for the Advancement of the Liberal Arts 

October 2018 to December 2019
Position: Administrative Assistant

  • Researched topics pertinent to the programs and mission of the Aydelotte Foundation.
  • Tracked campus engagement with programs and events.
  • Organized engagement data in Microsoft Excel.
  • Ran the Foundation’s social media campaign on Twitter and on-campus marketing.
  • Tested and reviewed email marketing platforms for the Foundation’s newsletter.
  • Helped student researchers complete individual research projects.

Jarrell ISD Information Technology Department

Position: Intern

  • Reimaged desktops and laptops at four campuses across the district.
  • Updated software on desktops and laptops at four schools across the district.
  • Cleaned desktop hardware at one campus in the district.
  • Organized excess stock.
  • Reorganized patch cables in the IDF rooms on campuses around the district.

Crazy Horse Ranch

August 2014 to October 2016
Position: Landscaper and Groundskeeper

  • Performed basic landscaping tasks on the developed 5-acre plot, such as mowing, trimming, edging, tilling, and maintaining garden beds.
  • Maintained a vegetable greenhouse and several beehives.
  • Cared for horses and chickens; duties included feeding, cleaning coop/barn, administering medications, and conditioning horses.
  • Variety of small projects that included wood and chainlink fence repair, hose and sprinkler line repair, dead tree removal, maintaining deer feeders, and more.
